Who is this Sothius person, anyway?
Well, basically I am an ordinary but extremely good-looking guy (see picture), dwelling in the middle of Germany in a small, but quite nice town.
I was named Marc, but many friends call me "Sothius", as this used to be my nick when I was a boy scout in the early 90s. It's a composition of the words "socius" (latin for comrade) and the name of a tragic figure
in a roleplaying scenario (which my friends seem to have liked when we were younger).I was born in the glorious year of 1976, and as my favourite author Terry Pratchett would say "I am still not dead" (although it's close, sometimes...). Currently, I work in the IT-business. Being mainly interested in hardware, one of my hobbies (apart from sleeping or punishing others with my existence) is collecting vintage computers (nothing unusual in my eyes - you know some people even have sex with dead ones). Why, will you think, isn't that all a pile of scrap compared to a new "lots of GHz"-machine?
The hell no! Todays' computers only serve the "Wintel-conglomerate" as source of great profits, but in that "golden age" of Also sad in my eyes is the people's attitude towards life and nature these days. That's why I rejected christian religion when I grew old enough to think of those things. I came to the conclusion that a religion making man the ruler of nature (degrading the planet to just a supermarket for us) can't be ment seriously. Mankind should abandon this childish belief and get realistic! I am no satan fanatic or something, but it's interesting to see how much more respect they pay to you and your opinions, not trying to force their belief upon you as many christian fanatics do. So if you really want a religion (because in my humble opinion mankind needs religion like a fish needs a bicycle), then I suggest you choose Hinduism or Buddhism, for they have a much better view on life and nature. Well, don't want to bother you with that anymore. See the F.A.Q. for more answers, have a look at the museum, or just try some of the links. Hope you enjoy it! |
